Centromet AD was awarded the specially founded prize "Best Investment In Practical Knowledge". The event took place within the sixth-annual forum - responsible business awards for companies with high achievements in the sphere of corporate social security. The event was organized by Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF). Centromet, part of Metal Technology Group was awarded because of its investments during 2008. Mr. Krasimir Dachev - owner of Metal Technology Group was bestowed with the award.
The investment program of the company amounts to EUR 1.8 mln. And EUR 1 mln. Projects have been realized so far. The investments in Centromet are mainly targeted at specialized machining technology, construction of new production halls, renovation of the existing equipment and training of the staff.
One of the considerable investments of Centromet is the project - Technology for Experimental Study of Newly Developed Highly Steed Steel in High Temperatures. A partner in this project is the Technical University in Sofia.
Thanks to the realized investment program during 2008 the company disposes of modern and ecological technology in its field. Two Japanese CNC machines Yamazaki Mazak were purchased during the same year. They provide the possibility for production of cylinder liners for diesel engines with big dimensions, applicable in the sphere of shipbuilding, railway industry and power engineering. The company managed to build and put into operation a unique installation for centrifugal casting with vertical turning axis - all by itself.
With its investment project for purchasing new pollution free technology the company took part in the category "Investments in the Environment". With its programs for staff training in the field of new technology it was nominated in the category "Investments in Knowledge".
